This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essentials and Standards of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through joint sponsorship of the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) and the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine.

The Society of Interventional Radiology is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The Society of Interventional Radiology designates this educational activity for a maximum of 30.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.*

Note that vendor tie-in sessions in Learning Tracks 3, 4, 5, and 7 only qualify for .75 hours of CME credit.

An application has been submitted for Category A CE credit from the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) for the SIIM Annual Meeting Program and the Imaging Informatics Professional Bootcamp.
 
Medical Physicists:
 
The Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs (CAMPEP) has approved Medical Physics Continuing Education Credit (MPCEC) for the SIIM Annual Meeting and the Imaging Informatics Professional Bootcamp.
 
Certificates of Attendance:
 
Certificates of Attendance will be available for Imaging Informatics Professionals to track continuing education eligibility requirements for the American Board of Imaging Informatics (ABII) for both the SIIM Annual Meeting Program and the Imaging Informatics Professional Bootcamp.

How to Obtain CME, CE, or MPCEC Credit and Certificates:
 

Attendees who wish to receive physician, technologist, or medical physicist credits or a certificate of attendance for ABII must return a Verification of Attendance form (see pages 79-82 of the Program Guide) to the main registration desk onsite at the conclusion of the meeting, or send to the SIIM office within two weeks following the meeting.

Be sure to record the tracking number that is announced and displayed at the conclusion of each session.

Please review your own physician, RT, or physicist verification form for the specific sessions approved for continuing education credits.

Physician CME certificates may be obtained on the SIR CME website beginning August 2, 2010.

Medical Physicist MPCEC transcripts may be obtained on the AAPM/CAMPEP website beginning August 2, 2010.

Technologist and IIP continuing education credit certificates will be mailed from the SIIM office to the address the attendee submitted on their SIIM 2010 meeting registration form. Please allow up to 12 weeks for receipt of certificate.

 
SIIM 2010 Program Objectives:

  • Describe the latest results in imaging informatics research;
  • Explain how important clinical problems in imaging departments are being solved; and
