SIIM continues to value and support the powerful resources that the open source community provides to the field of imaging informatics. This year’s Open Source Plug Fest will feature developers and representatives from many open source communities will be on hand to help attendees understand and begin using these powerful open source programs.

The 2010 Open Source Plug Fest will be located in the Demonstration area of the Shared Learning Community in Exhibit Hall B. The Plug Fest provides an opportunity to network with peers and browse some of the latest, most successful open source projects used in imaging informatics.

Objectives:

1. Identify the advantages of open source software to the field of imaging informatics.
2. Describe some of the most successful open source projects used in imaging informatics.
3. Begin to use powerful open source programs.
